Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

What HBOT is
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a medical treatment where you breathe 100% oxygen inside a specialized chamber that is pressurized above normal atmospheric pressure.
When pressure increases, oxygen dissolves more readily into the blood plasma, allowing oxygen to reach areas with reduced circulation and supporting tissue repair.
Why increased oxygen matters
If we look at everyday life, you normally breathe air that is about 21% oxygen, and most healthy people carry oxygen in the blood at about 95% to 100% saturation. That is usually enough for routine needs.
HBOT changes the game by having you breathe 100% oxygen while the chamber is gently pressurized, often around 3 ATA (atmospheres absolute). Under that pressure, your blood can carry far more oxygen than usual. You might see this described in medical terms as very high oxygen levels, sometimes reported as over 2,000 mmHg.
In simple terms, this means your body has extra oxygen on board to send into areas that are stressed, inflamed, or slow to heal. That extra oxygen can help the body:

How HBOT has evolved
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has expanded into a physician guided medical treatment for complex healing problems, including certain non healing wounds, radiation related tissue injury, and serious infections.

Safety First
Care is delivered in a modern hyperbaric chamber setting built around comfort and safety, with continuous monitoring throughout each session.
Expert Oversight
Your care is guided by physicians trained in hyperbaric medicine, with protocols aligned to evidence based indications and safety standards. Our team brings [X]+ years of combined experience supporting patients through complex healing needs.
Personalized Plans
We match the plan to your diagnosis, risks, and goals, then track progress using meaningful clinical markers such as symptom change, function, and wound or tissue healing milestones.
Whole Person Care
HBOT is rarely the only piece of care. We coordinate with your referring team and, when needed, connect you with supportive services so your plan stays cohesive.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does HBOT feel like
Most people describe it as similar to being on an airplane. You may feel pressure changes in your ears as the chamber pressurizes, and our team teaches simple techniques to stay comfortable.
How many sessions will I need
It depends on the condition being treated and how your body responds. Some problems improve in 20 to 30 sessions, while complex wounds or radiation related tissue injury may require 40 or more. We review progress at regular checkpoints.
Is HBOT safe
HBOT is generally well tolerated when supervised. The most common issues are temporary ear or sinus pressure and, less commonly, temporary changes in vision. Certain conditions, such as an untreated collapsed lung, can make HBOT unsafe. We screen carefully before treatment.
What conditions does HBOT treat
HBOT is used for a defined set of evidence based indications, including selected non healing wounds, delayed radiation injury, compromised grafts and flaps, certain serious infections, carbon monoxide poisoning, and more. We review whether your condition matches evidence based criteria.
How much does HBOT cost
Cost depends on your diagnosis, the type of chamber used, and the number of sessions in your plan. After your evaluation, we will give you a clear estimate and review payment options so you can make an informed decision before you start.
